Radiofrequency therapy

Radiofrequency therapy has proven successful in pain management for chronic back pain sufferers. Overactive, irritated nerves cause constant pain. The conductivity of these nerves is permanently broken with the help of radiofrequency therapy, providing long-term relief from your symptoms.

The method is suitable for problems involving the sacroiliac joints and the vertebrae of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.

Effectiveness test

If necessary, we carry out tests using injections of local anaesthetic to assess whether radiofrequency therapy will be effective for you. If we think a treatment looks promising, we will arrange a second session.

Heat therapy

Using radiographic monitoring and local anaesthesia, we apply a heat stimulus to the relevant nerve at as many as six points for 70 to 80 seconds each via a thermal probe. The heat breaks the nerve’s electrical conductivity. The relief from pain is usually felt immediately.
