… a sport injury

In sport injuries, we differentiate between acute injuries caused by an accident and chronic overuse injuries caused by a high level of training or improper loading.

Acute sport injuries

In the case of an acute sport injury, there are often ligament or tendon injuries to the joints such as cruciate ligament injury or a rupture of the Achilles tendon.

Muscle and cartilage injuries or broken bones may also occur. Depending on the extent of the injury, our practice will have to provide conservative or surgical treatment.

Sport-specific therapy

Every type of sport is complex in its own way and accordingly, the injuries that can arise are very diverse. This requires a sophisticated sport medicine approach that should rely on several approaches.

They include conservative measures such as injection therapy, sport-physiological treatment, physical therapy with equipment training, posture training and optimisation of the training sequence.

If a surgical correction or procedure is necessary, we will sit down with you to plan the necessary rehabilitation and the time required to resume your sporting activities.
